It is actually The anniversary of the first Olympic Games today. The first Olympic Day was celebrated on 23 June 1948. On this occasion, Sigfrid Edström, IOC President at that time, conveyed a message to the young people of the world. Portugal, Greece, Austria, Canada, Switzerland, Great Britain, Uruguay, Venezuela and Belgium organised an Olympic Day in their respective countries.
So from today you can join people across the nation to train with an Olympian from home!
We also received some great news from Northamptonshire sport this week. Due to our participation in competitions in the Autumn and Spring terms we have been recognised for our ongoing commitment and achievement in the School Games Programme. This is down to you guys coming to clubs, competitions and working hard in all of your P.E. lessons so thank you very much!

It is week 3 of the Northamptonshire sport virtual school games and the challenge this week is athletics. Now, being the 6 time indoor athletics champions surely we have to put our best foot forward and represent CCS! Make sure you are signed up and send in your challenges!
