Just a quick update to let you know we are all on board the plane and set for the travel home. Once we have landed and passed airport security and baggage collection we will update the blog with our ETA.
We’ve had an action packed day at the theme park where the students faced their fears and went on some of the biggest roller coasters in Europe! We’ve had our final dinner, packed our bags and sang happy birthday to one of the students. It’s been an amazing trip and the students will have lots of stories to tell for a long time to come.
We will update you again into the morning when we depart for the airport. Our ETA at CCS will be approximately 2:30 pm, traffic dependant, on Friday. See you all soon!!
After a lovely breakfast at our hotel we boarded the coach to announce the winners of the postcard activity where the challenge was to create a postcard to represent the work of Joan Miro ! See the photo below of our top 3. Well done to Cian, Mia and Henna. We then continued our journey to the Roman town of Tarragona which is steeped in history. The students had a wander around the shops, a guided tour and then had the opportunity to take some great photos in the Ampitheatre. We then had a picnic lunch before spending the afternoon at Aqualeon, a nearby water park. We’ve just arrived back to the hotel where we are resting for a short time before our evening meal and a walk to the promenade and games on the beach. We have a birthday to celebrate tomorrow and a fun filled day at a theme park to look forward to !!
We’ve had an amazing day again ! Lots of fun and culture from morning until night. We started the day at Poble Espanyol where the students could see what it was like to live in Spain a long time ago. From there we made a short coach journey to the Olympic Stadium made famous by the 1992 games !
The highlight of the day was definitely our guided tour of Sagrada Familia, it was amazing!
We then had fun on the Calafell slide before returning to our hotel for a quick dip in the pool, a quick change, dinner and a stroll to the beach. We’re now all worn out and ready for bed……..
We’ve had a fab day!! After a good nights sleep and breakfast we headed off to the centre of Barcelona. We had a lovely stroll through the tree lined steets and bought our lunch from the local market. The students were all superb at practising their Spanish! We then roamed through Les Rambles before arriving at Port Vell which was stunning! After a little shopping (the girls have some new clothes and the boys used their money wisely by buying sweets) we then took the coach journey to The Nou Camp, wow, what a ground, what a club! We’ve now just returned from a swim in the hotel pool to get ready for dinner and a trip the bowling alley. When we return we’ll catch the end of the England game so here’s hoping they can do it !! We hope it’s not raining too much back home, it’s just perfect weather here. We shall update all tomorrow evening.
The students are doing us very proud :-)))
