A HUGE day in the sporting calendar today saw 4 teams from CCS attend the county finals, Archery, girls golf, Netball and Quad kids.
After a busy day CCS walked away with medals in two of the events missing out to a golden goal in netball.
The girls golfers had a great day and walked away with bronze medals with the Quadkids athletes finishing 2nd to a very strong Boothville team.
A huge thank you to all the children, parents and staff who played a part in making today a success!

All eyes now on the year 6 Cluster Olympic event tomorrow!
On Friday we hosted the NTSSF cricket shield finals which both our teams qualified for.
We had a great afternoon of cricket and the teams played very well finishing as Shield winners and 5th place.
What a fine finish to the week from the CCS quad kids.
Over 30 teams and 320 children took part in today’s district event.
Fine results all round saw Jasmine take best girl and Harry best boy in the year 3/4 competition. This was topped off by both teams being crowned champs!

What a fantastic day of sport for CCS. We had a group of children head over to Daventry for a county cycling event. The children had to compete in an endurance race, a speed race and a technical course. After all 3 events CCS came out as winners! A huge well done!
Following this we took a team of year 5/6 cricket players to Horton house. This saw the boys play 4 games of cricket winning every one!
The boys will now travel to the county ground on the 2nd July to play in the county finals!
After a busy week back it’s time to reflect on a fantastic week of sport. After gymnasts and basketballers were fantastic early in the week, our netballers and cricketers didn’t disappoint!
On Thursday we dodged the weather to host a cluster cricket tournament in which CCS and Wootton playing 4 matches. Sharing the match with 2 wins each.
Whilst this was going on our netballers were at the South Northants Netball World Cup even. They played fantastically well coming out as District winners, progressing to both county and regionals later in the year.
We also had a girls cricket event going on. The girls performed wonderfully, eventually coming second and qualifying for the county finals!
Well done to all that took part this week.
Next week we have the basketball county finals and quick sticks hockey to look forward to.

Only two days into the new term and we have had two fixtures already with four still to come this week!
This afternoon we took a team of four gymnasts to the County Finals at Matrix gymnastics club. The girls performed fantastically and came out 3rd in the county- remember 292 schools in the county!
Following this event we had a basketball tournament over at Moulton college. This was a district event. Some great performances saw the team go unbeaten throughout.
Our two group games saw wins over Sywell and Hackleton. This saw us top the group and qualify through to play Overstone. The final was a cluster crunch between CCS and Woodland View. The boys gave the girls a healthy four point margin at half time but the girls stormed their second half and the team came out winners at the final whistle.

Primary Sports Awards – Wednesday 17th July.
A short but sweet term 5 for the CCS sports teams.
We have had loads going on including;
The year 3 and 4 football finals. Well done to the year 4’s who came 1st in the shield competition and the year 3’s who came 4th in theirs
The year 5/6 footballers played well and were unlucky not to progress from the group stages in their finals tournament.
We had 2 netball events going on with a total of 44 participants the friendly year 4/5 tournament against Woodland view, and the cluster tournament which CCS won. Well done to them and they move forward to the district round.
Cluster quad kids was a great success with over 40 children taking part from CCS and Wootton. Both teams now move forward to the district round.
Our swimmers did a fantastic job on Tuesday winning the District competition and they move onto the county finals on Friday 28th June!
Our county gymnasts did a fantastic job and came 5th out of 292 schools! Well done!
Finally, a huge well done to all 92, yes 92 children that came out and took part in the cluster Cross Country. We had some great results with year 3/4 boys and girls coming 4th, year 5/6 girls came 2nd and year 5/6 boys won their event. Well done to Preston Hedges for taking the overall title!
A fantastic day of gymnastics saw over 120 gymnasts from across South Northants and Daventry take part in the Key steps competitions.
CCS entered 4 teams across the day which had separate completions for competitive gymnasts as well as development gymnasts.
All 4 teams competed beautifully throughout the day, 2 qualifying for the county finals later in the year!
