……….If you need your EHIC card over half term, please email me at email@example.com and I’ll get it to you ASAP!
We are now on the final leg of the journey…. 50 mins away (traffic allowing).
Please be in the car park for 10:40am and spread the word! 😉
Can I take this opportunity to thank the CCS staff. Firstly those who worked hard on the trip (Mrs Evans, Mrs Cozens, Mr O’Reilly and Mrs Chamberlain). Their enthusiasm, patience, and caring attitude has been appreciated by all students both on and off the slopes.
A big thank you also goes out to our PE colleagues back at school (Mr Rich, Mr Halsey and Mrs Wittich) who have covered our lessons and duties all week. Without this team effort, this trip would not be the success it is.
I would also like to say a huge well done to every single student in the CCS Ski Squad. They have demonstrated empathy, teamwork, perseverance, determination throughout the week and have been a joy to spend time with. We have been so impressed with the way the students have conducted themselves both around the hotel, in the coach, and on the slopes. They’ve embraced the “no phones” policy to the extent that they were commenting on the other school groups who were sat to the side at the disco on their phones while every single one of our group were together on the dance floor!
Finally a thank you to the parents who have been supportive of the blog; the students like to know you’ve been looking at it!
Every year I think “the trip can’t get better than this” however, yet again, this group have out-done any group before them in all aspects!
“Sweet Caroline….. Chisholm school……. good times never felt so good!”
Likely to be back before 11am……. I’ll update the blog with a more accurate estimation, once we drop off our current drivers and collect our relief driver.
Please spread the word as I wouldn’t want any students (or teachers!) hanging around in the rain after a long journey. 😴
A nice meal including a pasta starter (for a change! 🤣), the coach quickly packed and we are on our way! Right on time, despite JJ and Harrison forgetting their pillows, and then Zac stopping the coach so he could reclaim his stone island shorts that were left in his room!
Travel updates to follow as and when (and depending on whether I’m asleep or not!)
Thank you for all your lovely comments on the blog. Many have been shared with the students……. We are all now better informed about the origins of the Italian Bear population! 😂😂
A few minor bumps and bruises but all down the mountain in one piece!
We hosted our instructors this evening. Certificates awarded and gifts presented!!
All are looking forward to a “powder day” tomorrow. I’ve not seen it snow in the town in 15 visits….. the hill itself will be superb tomorrow!
